Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid: Could a Van be More Fuel Efficient Than a Subcompact?

Every once in a while, someone will walk in to Rogersville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, look over minivans, and then complain that they'd like something so spacious but don't want to sacrifice fuel economy. It's a common problem, since conventional wisdom says that smaller vehicles are always more efficient. In some cases, though, the all-new 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid can actually beat out a few subcompacts.

This fuel-efficient minivan can go around 32 miles on a single electrical charge without using any gas at all. Once the engine does kick in, it still gets around 30 miles to the gallon. Drivers who use it as a traditional hybrid should see around 82 MPGe combined according to figures calculated by the EPA.

Considering that traffic can get pretty bad, these figures are particularly impressive. Combined numbers sometimes suffer, but the Pacifica Hybrid continues to defy all conventional logic by offering such good figures.
